History of Intershenzhen FC:
The early roots are reaching back to 2001 in Shekou, with some mixed locals and expats, mostly of them living and working in this suburban city, playing on Sunday afternoons each other in a rather leisurely environment.
With growing numbers of players coming all the way over from Shenzhen City, the founding members back in 2003 made the decision to opt for footballing activities nearby downtown area, giving unofficially birth to the early Inter Shenzhen foundation.
The team developed rapidly after this loose foundation, words went around and mainly based on friends, the team became quickly a magnet for many other foreigners trying to do some football sports on a regular basis in Shenzhen. Starting by organizing first training venues and matches amongst ourselves, soon the interest by other locals very attracted and first matches against local Chinese teams who wanted to compete against foreigners were organized.

The club name “INTERSHENZHEN” was created in 2004 in reminiscence to the internationalism of the various player’s origins. In the following years training and match venues were held regularly, with ever growing and alternating players on the list.
In Spring 2007 finally the team went through couple of transformation to become more serious

On 18th of May 2007 the official www.intershenzhen.com club website was launched.

On March – May 2009, the club went through rigorous changes and setup the membership system with an administration and real training materials: here is the real club

On March 2011, Intershenzhen FC management switched again, place to the experienced stage.

On June 2011, the new dynamic website is launched and let players reply to venues, post comments, pictures etc….
